If you're a cord-cutter or looking to save money on your television bill, you may be considering ditching DirecTV. However, the big price tag of $69.99 (up to $139.99 for the "Premier" package), is a big deterrent.

Fortunately, there are a number of cheaper DirecTV alternatives that offer similar features and channel options. You can do a little cheaper, for example: Youtube TV is $5 cheaper than the cheapest "Entertainment" DirecTV package. Or you can do much cheaper, like Pluto or Xumo TV, which offer Live TV channels for free. Yep, for free.

There are in-between options, such as Sling TV, which has a great lineup and starts at $35 / month.
